Great sales videos

The 7 steps to construct a great sales video

With most things today there is a sequence, a pattern or a rule that we should follow to maximise our return.  The same applies to constructing a sales video and it is one that is critical to your business.  See a great video is your 24/7 salesperson, whether you have it on your website, YouTube or on your Video Brochures it should convey your message simply and powerfully.

Here are the seven elements that will give you the structure to create a video that reflects why your customers should do business with you.

  1. Get their attention:

You need to hook your audience whether it be by humour, interesting statistics a question or a promise you must get them listening to your message.

  1. Uncover the problem:

Identify a problem you can help them solve such as have you ever wondered why this always happen.

  1. Describe the impact the problem has to your viewers:

Dig deeper and outline what will happen if you don’t resolve this problem; illustrate the pain points.

  1. Introduce the solution:

Get your viewers to agree to the overall solution and set them up for your pitch.

  1. Reveal the solution:

After setting up the headache and the cause of your viewers frustration you need to disclose your unique value proposition that states why you are different.  Remember results and benefits not features and a big promise on what you will deliver them.

  1. The call to action:

Reiterate the if and then statement.   If you have this problem and you need to solve it then do this now.

  1. Social Proof:

Back up you and your service with testimonials, reviews and case studies.

And it really is that simple.

Remember the language and style you use when putting together your sales video.  You must communicate your message effectively and without using jargon they won’t understand.

Follow this structure and you are well on your way to creating a compelling video that will get the attention of your customers.
